Dear Patients,
The health and safety of our patients is our number one priority. With the rapid spread of the novel virus COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus, Bracken Psychiatric Services is taking extra steps to keep our patients and staff safe.
For patients that choose to still come into the office for their appointments - we are utilizing continuous chemical-free, ultraviolet room germicidal sterilization technologies to help in reducing exposure to pollutants and other potentially harmful air-borne bacteria and virus microbes. The same chemical-free, UV germicidal sterilization technologies are being used after hours on commonly touched surface areas by use of equipment requiring protective gear for eyes and skin during the cleansing process. We have removed all toys from the doctor’s exam room and the waiting areas until further notice.
We ask that any patients experiencing symptoms of illness call us to reschedule or ask about alternative methods for having your appointment.
We are providing virtual/telemedicine appointment alternatives during this unprecedented time.
Although the OCR has loosened the HIPAA Rules of telehealth during the COVID-19 nationwide public health emergency allowing providers to use popular applications that allow for video chats, including Apple FaceTime, Facebook Messenger video chat, Google Hangouts video, or Skype, to provide telehealth visits; we will strive to only provide such services through technology vendors that provide HIPAA-compliant video communication products.

We will do our best to accommodate all existing and new appointments, but ask for your patience as we navigate these new and uncharted waters.
